Berkshire County - St. Pete
An Idea For Tropicana Field
These are the venues from Berkshire County, Mass (the entire Western side of the State) that I am proposing become part of Berkshire County - St. Pete. It would fill up all of Tropicana Field with, proposed, 3 levels of under ground parking (if possible) under all of Tropicana Field. This will allow for lots of parking for downtown with buses going & coming regularity to St. Pete highlights, including the beaches.
1 - MassMOCA - The most fabulous contemporary art presentation I have seen any where in the world. It will bring more people to MassMOCA in N. Adams, Mass & will allow artist's works to be shown in both N Adams & in St. Pete - good for all, I think! The buildings should be multi story with large elevators & spaces that conform to what exists at MassMOCA. This will allow easy transfer of large installations. IYoutube MassMOCA in 2 minutes &, if desired, explore more on google & youtube.
2 - The Clark Museum - The 2nd largest collection of Renoir’s in the world (The Barnes Collection in Philly is # 1) + a 1st class collection including contemporary art.
3 - Tanglewood - St Pete - There can be sn open grassy area to be used as a park when the stage has no performances (or movies). There would be large vinyl photos of the beautiful mountains surrounding Tanglewood in Lenox, Mass. The stage would have nightly concerts, or movies, or dancing bands, with weekend afternoon classical orchestra & chamber music. As I proposing all schools all over Americas, Pre K through 12th grade institute what I call "The Hand Puppet Class & Theater", ther could be hand puppet shows on that stage also. Hn=There would be a full high ceiling tarp with sides to use when it rains. People would come with chairs & picnics to enjoy “being in the mountains of St Pete) before concerts or at other times.

Advantages of Berkshire County - St Pete:
1 - A “world class” venue that, I believe will make St Pete a world class destination (if Trump doesn’t scare all the tourists away)
2 - Promotion of all the Berkshire County venues
3 - Particularly for MassMOCA-St.Pete - allow artist’s work to be shown in 2 world class venues. Art can also originate in St. Pete.
4 - ???
The venues I have included, hopefully, to be part of Berkshire County - St. Pete:
1 - MassMOCA - Should be multi story with large elevators & spaces that conform to what exists at MassMOCA. This will allow easy transfer of large installations.
2 - The Clark Museum - The 2nd largest collection of Renoir’s in the world (The Barnes Collection in Philly is # 1) + a 1st class collection including contemporary art.
3 - Tanglewood - St Pete - open grassy area as park when not in use with a stage, large photos of the beautiful mountains surrounding Tanglewood in Lenox, Mass. The stage would have nightly concerts with weekend afternoon classical orchestra & chamber music. There would be a full high ceiling tarp with sides to use when it rains. People would come with chairs & picnics to enjoy “being in the mountains of St Pete) before concerts or at other times.
4 - The Berkshire Playhouses - Winter, Spring, SUMMER & Fall STOCK theater
5 - Shakespeare & Co - so many activities including theater
6 - The Norman Rockwell Museum - A favorite artist for many - love “The Gossips”
7 - The Red Lion Inn (luxury hotel - WOW)
8 - The Red Lion Inn 1700’s Restaurant - time traveling IS possible
9 - Mahaiwe Theater - The beauty in Great Barrington can be replicated
10 - Jacob’s Pillow - 1st class dance
11 - Sheffield Antiques Center (could be multi story?
12 - The Rellim Hotel Downtown St Pete (what IS Miller spelled backwards?)
13 - The Judy Garland Theater - Showing Wizard of Oz with costumes
14 - The Judy Garland Museum (2nd location) with dresses & patterns for her many beautiful dresses
15 - The Wizard of Oz Museum (2nd location) & Store (selling W of Oz costumes & patterns - so many Munchkin costumes!)
16 - The Judy Garland Wizard of Oz Carousel (The 1st in the world)
17 - Judy’s 50’s Diner (with singing waitress & waiters - only Judy Garland songs - TYVM)
18 - The Toby Jug Museum & Shop (love Royal Doulton Toby Jugs - ask Mr Google)
19 - Katz’s Deli - !!!! (Great pastrami in rye)
